Wine Grapes for Sale in Contra Costa: Pick Yours Aug 15–16
Looking for wine grapes for sale near the Bay Area? We’re opening our vineyard to winemakers on August 15 and 16. Come pick fresh fruit right off our old vines in Knightsen, Contra Costa County — sold by the pound, straight from the family that grows it.
What we’re growing
This harvest we have three kinds of fruit ready for winemakers:
- Old-vine Grenache — deep-rooted vines that give rich, peppery fruit.
- Grenache Noir (Alban clone) — bright and full of flavor.
- Carignane — juicy, bold, and a classic Contra Costa grape.
All of it is naturally grown and hand-tended. We’ve farmed this land as a family since 2015, and Broc Cellars in Berkeley has bought our fruit — so you know it’s good enough to bottle.

- Time: 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

- Price: Sold by the pound
Mornings are cool here, thanks to the delta breeze off the water. That’s the best time to pick, and it’s why we start early.
How it works
Come out, walk the rows, and pick the fruit you want for your next batch of wine. Whether you make wine at home or run a small winery, you get to choose your own grapes and take them home the same day. You see the vines, you taste the fruit, and you pick exactly what you need. Fresh doesn’t get any fresher than this.
